Lateral cephalogram

It is a profile x-ray of skull and soft tissues and is used to assess the relation of the teeth in the jaw, the relation of the jaws to the skull and relation of the sost tissues to the teeth and jaws.

It can assess the problems in allignment or growth patterns and prepare treatment. It is useful in tracking the progress of treatment.
